Sacred Fungi: Exploring Traditional Uses of Psilocybin Mushrooms

with Lacey White, Acacea Lewis, Osiris Sinuhe Gonzalez Romero & Maria Heleyna

Psilocybin use is at the forefront of psychedelic research and contemporary psychedelic therapies. Yet many of those who use it know little about the traditional cultures who have guarded this powerful medicine for millennia, and used it in community for healing, divination, and spiritual connection. Join this panel of medicine carriers and cultural researchers and explore the rich tapestry of sacred mushroom traditions.

  • The history of psilocybin mushroom ritual and traditions
  • Modern day mushroom practices
  • What makes a mushroom experience
  • The issues that arise between ancient traditions and the new era
  • What can we learn from these sacred teachers and their lineage holders
